Welcome to a new episode of Wendy Is Writing The Blog Late. Starring me. 

This will be a quick one! 

Silent Book Society is Thursday, August 6 at 6pm. Bring a book or buy one with a little discount while you’re here. We’ll have tea and biscuits! Enjoy an entire hour of distraction-free reading. 

We are 1/3 of the way through this year’s Indie Bookshop Tour and it’s going swimmingly. Always fun to meet people on this adventure and get to talk about books and reading. We are also a palate cleanser of sorts- you can find tea, candles, pretty soaps, and craft supplies here and still get your passport stamped! 

We have some upcoming classes to look forward to- one of which is Painting with Wool by Marilee Feldman. Keep an eye on our calendar for this and other learning opportunities! 

For those interested in audiobooks- we are on Libro.fm. If you click the drop down under books on our main menu, you’ll find “audiobooks” listed- click there and learn more about Libro.fm! I am curating playlists there, and I am personally - I, a visual person who isn’t a great audio-learner- is loving it. I’ve found books there I would normally never try and have enlarged my reading interests.

My to-be-read pile is ridiculous and the yarn side of things is keeping me hopping this summer- I hope things are going as well for all of you.
